My name is Makailah A. Gause

As a sophomore in high school, my Fundamentals of Journalism and Audio, Video, Tech and Film classes changed my outlook on exploring a career in Journalism forever. I learned that I love the creative process of telling stories. From that point forward, I knew that I wanted to be a journalist.

 Studying broadcast journalism at Howard University has pushed me to be the best storyteller that I can be, while studying business and economic reporting at New York University taught me how to take complex financial issues and turn it into easily digestible information.
